“To fight and conquer in all your cases is not almighty power; almighty power is breaking the other party's resistance without fighting at all.” – Marc Applbaum
Marc Applbaum, President of Kettner Law, has more than 15 years’ experience as a successful trial attorney. As second-generation counsel, Marc has a knack for navigating complex cases and building strategic partnerships with other top trial lawyers.
Marc’s impressive resume includes the successful closure of more than 2000 settlements and more than 50 court cases. He’s recovered millions of dollars for his clients, but most importantly, he has helped those who have been wronged see justice served. Amongst his peers, he’s known as a master of oral arguments and the pioneer of the use of mental technology.
As President, Marc focuses on the firm’s litigation strategies. He strongly believes litigation is an art, which not only requires excellent communication skills, but a thorough understanding of the law and heartfelt recognition for what his client has experienced. His attention to detail proves an invaluable resource when collecting and gathering evidence for the challenging cases handled by the firm.
Marc has experience prosecuting cases in a number of practice areas, including intellectual property, merger and acquisitions, and wrongful death. Despite his success in litigating cases involving these practice areas, Marc has chosen to focus on cases involving sexual harassment and personal injury. He’s not afraid to take on cases no one else wants to handle and fights relentlessly to make sure the perpetrator (or perpetrators) are held accountable for their actions.
Unlike many trial lawyers, Marc is a presence in all communications handled by the firm, regardless of where they take place – a boardroom or court. In his own words,
“The litigation lawyer must fight for the client in every communication; be it the opponent, judge, or a jury.”
As Marc always says, “You need a lawyer who is not going to blink and who is just as confident as those guys on the other side.” At his core, Marc is the client’s champion and always puts the best interest of his clients first.
